Declaration of Appointment
By virtue of the powers vested in the Blue Cross & Blue Crescent Movement (BC) and in accordance with its governing constitution, we hereby officially appoint and install H.E. Ambassador Rana Zeitouni as ICBCM Ambassador & Conference Convenor under the authority of the International Conference of the Blue Cross & Blue Crescent Movement (ICBCM).
This appointment is made in recognition of her outstanding leadership, humanitarian service, and dedication to the vision and mission of the Blue Cross & Blue Crescent Movement. Her extensive contributions to humanitarian diplomacy and advocacy, particularly in her role as National Delegate to the Global Committee of ICBCM, have been exemplary and in alignment with the Movement’s fundamental principles.
Mandate & Responsibilities
As the ICBCM Ambassador & Conference Convenor, H.E. Ambassador Rana Zeitouni is hereby entrusted with the following duties and responsibilities:
1. Official Representation:
* Represent the International Conference of the Blue Cross & Blue Crescent Movement (ICBCM) at international, regional, and national platforms.
* Act as a high-ranking humanitarian diplomat advocating for the mission and values of the Movement.
2. Conference Planning & Coordination:
* Organize, supervise, and oversee conferences, summits, meetings, seminars, and workshops under ICBCM.
* Ensure the successful execution of global and national ICBCM conferences with full compliance with international standards.
3. Policy & Resolution Compliance:
* Ensure the implementation of ICBCM resolutions and oversee compliance with its strategic policies.
* Coordinate between ICBC, IFBC, and other bilateral partner agencies within the Movement.
4. Humanitarian Diplomacy & Global Partnerships:
* Strengthen diplomatic ties between ICBCM, national governments, international agencies, and humanitarian organizations.
* Advocate for humanitarian policies, sustainable development, and global cooperation.
5. Upholding Fundamental Principles:
* Promote the ICBCM principles of humanitarianism, volunteerism, moralism, transparency, impartiality, empowerment, sustainability, neutrality, benevolence, and respect.
* Serve as a global ambassador of peace, humanitarian aid, and resilience building.
6. Advocacy & Humanitarian Initiatives:
* Lead fundraising campaigns, humanitarian missions, and awareness programs on behalf of ICBCM.
* Advocate for humanitarian aid, disaster relief, and social empowerment initiatives.

This appointment is issued under the official authority of the Blue Cross & Blue Crescent Movement (BC) in accordance with the legal frameworks recognized by:
* United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) – Special Consultative Status
* UN-DESA Accreditation
* European Union Accreditation (europa.eu)
* Government of India (Registered Under Act XXI of 1860, Regd No: S-E/682/2015)

The appointment of H.E. Ambassador Rana Zeitouni as ICBCM Ambassador & Conference Convenor remains valid from 22nd March 2025 to 21st March 2030 and shall continue thereafter unless revoked or renewed by the Global Committee of ICBCM.
