About the Movement
The Blue Cross & Blue Crescent Movement is an international humanitarian, non-profit and
non-governmental organisation registered in India. The Movement operates on the principles of
humanity, neutrality, impartiality, and independence.
We function through structured departments, federations, national societies, and verified
members dedicated to humanitarian service and responsible governance.
The Movement holds Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social
Council (UN-ECOSOC) (2024), enabling consultative engagement in accordance with established
procedures.
This status does not imply representation of, or authority from, the United Nations.
