The Sovereign International Order of the Blue Cross & Blue Crescent (SIOBC) is the premier sovereign humanitarian order of the Blue Cross & Blue Crescent Movement, established to advance humanitarian leadership, international cooperation, humanitarian diplomacy, ethical governance, and global public service.
Inspired by the universal principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality, independence, voluntary service, unity, and international cooperation, SIOBC brings together distinguished humanitarian leaders, diplomats, professionals, academics, faith leaders, emergency responders, philanthropists, and public servants committed to serving humanity beyond borders.
Operating as a global humanitarian institution, SIOBC promotes peace, sustainable development, disaster resilience, humanitarian diplomacy, community leadership, and international solidarity through strategic partnerships with governments, intergovernmental organizations, civil society institutions, academic bodies, and humanitarian stakeholders.
The Blue Cross & Blue Crescent Movement is an international humanitarian, charitable and non-profit organization with Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC) since 2024 and is registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 (India).
