The IFBC – Indian Blue Cross Society is the National Humanitarian Society of India within the International Federation of Blue Cross & Blue Crescent Societies (IFBC). Established under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 (Registration No. S-E/682/2015), the Society is a volunteer-led, non-profit humanitarian organization dedicated to protecting life, promoting human dignity, strengthening community resilience, and serving vulnerable people without discrimination.
Working through a nationwide network of State, District, and local humanitarian units, the Indian Blue Cross Society delivers humanitarian assistance before, during, and after emergencies. Our volunteers, humanitarian professionals, and community leaders work together to improve public health, strengthen disaster preparedness, support community development, and promote humanitarian values across India.
As India’s national delegation within the Blue Cross & Blue Crescent Movement, we contribute to humanitarian cooperation, volunteer development, international partnerships, and humanitarian diplomacy while supporting initiatives that strengthen sustainable communities and improve the well-being of vulnerable populations.
