OFFICIAL HUMANITARIAN APPOINTMENT & IDENTIFICATION ANNOUNCEMENT
DR. LUIS SUAREZ – IFBC AMBASSADOR & BOARD OF DIRECTOR, AMERICAN BLUE CROSS SOCIETY (USA)
The International Federation of Blue Cross & Blue Crescent Societies (IFBC), operating under the Blue Cross & Blue Crescent Movement, is pleased to officially announce the issuance of the updated Official Humanitarian Identification Credential to Dr. Luis Suarez, serving as IFBC Ambassador and Board of Director – American Blue Cross Society (USA).
This official recognition is issued in acknowledgment of Dr. Luis Suarez’s continued contribution toward humanitarian coordination, international cooperation, volunteer engagement and organizational development activities associated with the establishment and advancement of the American Blue Cross Society (ABCS) within the United States of America.
Dr. Luis Suarez has been duly recognized as an authorized humanitarian representative operating under the international operational framework of the Blue Cross & Blue Crescent Movement and in alignment with the objectives, humanitarian principles and institutional mission of the International Federation of Blue Cross & Blue Crescent Societies (IFBC).
As IFBC Ambassador and Board of Director, Dr. Luis Suarez shall assist in:
Humanitarian coordination and international cooperation initiatives;
Volunteer mobilization and public engagement activities;
Organizational development and institutional networking;
Promotion of humanitarian awareness, emergency preparedness and community resilience initiatives;
Strengthening collaboration for humanitarian and social welfare activities within the United States of America.
The Official Humanitarian Identification Credential issued to Dr. Luis Suarez is an internal organizational credential intended exclusively for lawful humanitarian, administrative and representational functions associated with the Blue Cross & Blue Crescent Movement. The credential does not constitute diplomatic accreditation, governmental authority, diplomatic immunity, immigration privilege, law-enforcement authority or representation of the United Nations or any sovereign government.
The Blue Cross & Blue Crescent Movement strictly maintains a policy of humanitarian neutrality, transparency, accountability and lawful international cooperation. Any misuse, alteration, unauthorized duplication, fraudulent representation or unlawful use of organizational identity cards, titles, humanitarian credentials, logos or affiliations is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate revocation of authorization, institutional disciplinary action and/or legal proceedings under applicable national and international laws.
The International Federation further reiterates that:
“Blue Cross & Blue Crescent Society” is the legally registered entity under the laws of India.
“Blue Cross & Blue Crescent Movement” functions as the international operational framework of the organization.
The organization maintains Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN-ECOSOC) since 2024.
The International Federation expresses its appreciation to Dr. Luis Suarez for his continued humanitarian dedication and welcomes his ongoing contribution toward strengthening humanitarian service, volunteerism and international solidarity “For All Humanity.”
