IFBC Central Asian Blue Crescent Societies Regional Directorate
Regional Overview
The IFBC Central Asian Blue Crescent Societies Regional Directorate is an integral part of the International Federation of Blue Cross & Blue Crescent Societies (IFBC) and serves as the Regional Directorate for the National Blue Crescent Society delegations across Central Asia.
The Regional Directorate provides strategic leadership, regional coordination, institutional development, humanitarian diplomacy, operational support and capacity-building to the National Blue Crescent Societies throughout Central Asia. Working in partnership with national delegations, it strengthens humanitarian preparedness, disaster risk reduction, emergency response, community health, volunteer development, institutional cooperation and regional humanitarian partnerships in accordance with the mission, principles and objectives of the Blue Cross & Blue Crescent Movement.
The National Blue Crescent Society delegations organise and implement humanitarian programmes, emergency response operations, community-based initiatives and volunteer-led humanitarian activities within their respective countries under the strategic guidance, coordination and regional support of the IFBC Central Asian Blue Crescent Societies Regional Directorate.

Regional Functions
The IFBC Central Asian Blue Crescent Societies Regional Directorate works to:
Coordinate humanitarian cooperation among National Blue Crescent Societies across Central Asia.
Strengthen regional preparedness, emergency response and disaster recovery capabilities.
Support the establishment, development and institutional strengthening of National Blue Crescent Societies.
Promote volunteer leadership, humanitarian education and professional capacity-building.
Facilitate regional humanitarian partnerships and cross-border cooperation.
Support community health, medical outreach, disaster resilience and humanitarian development programmes.
Promote environmental sustainability, climate adaptation and water resource resilience.
Encourage innovation, knowledge-sharing and sustainable humanitarian development.
Represent Central Asian humanitarian priorities within the global IFBC framework.
