IFBC European Blue Cross Societies Regional Directorate

Regional Overview

The IFBC European Blue Cross Societies Regional Directorate is an integral part of the International Federation of Blue Cross & Blue Crescent Societies (IFBC) and serves as the regional coordinating directorate for the National Blue Cross Society delegations throughout Europe.

The Regional Directorate provides strategic leadership, regional coordination, institutional development, humanitarian cooperation and capacity-building support to the National Blue Cross Societies operating across the European region. Working in partnership with national delegations, it promotes humanitarian action, volunteer development, emergency preparedness, disaster response, community resilience, public health initiatives and international cooperation in accordance with the mission, principles and objectives of the Blue Cross & Blue Crescent Movement.

The National Blue Cross Society delegations organise and implement humanitarian programmes, community-based initiatives and emergency response activities within their respective countries under the strategic guidance, coordination and regional support of the IFBC European Blue Cross Societies Regional Directorate.
